The Poe Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) helps support our school through volunteering and also helps provide additional funds to continue programs, sponsor events, and purchase items by supplementing the funding from TEA and HISD. As part of the Poe community, EVERYONE - including parents, teachers and administrators - is automatically a member of the Poe PTO, and we welcome you to be part of the effort to provide Poe students with a strong foundation for learning and success.
What is the Poe Partner Challenge?
The Poe Partner Challenge is the Poe Elementary School PTO general underwriting campaign that provides parents and community partners with an opportunity to give directly to the school and become a Poe Partner. All the money raised goes directly to Poe Elementary School and is critical to keeping our school covered for the upcoming school year and prepared for the future.
100% participation from Poe families
Participation by # local businesses in our community
The 2019-2020 Poe Partner Challenge needs at least $ per student to “meet the challenge” and achieve the $ goal set for this school year. We encourage every family to participate at any level and do their part to support our Ravens, teachers and school.
Poe Partner Levels
Be a part of the Poe Partner Challenge! We have Poe Partner levels starting at $1 to $5000+!
The Poe Partner Corporate Matching Gift Program is a great fundraising opportunity for Poe Elementary PTO. Many Fortune 1000 companies, including here in Houston, offer a “matching gift program” where the company will match donations up to a certain amount made by their employees to non-profit organizations (such as Poe Elementary PTO).
Search for your company below and visit our Corporate Matching page for more information.

All volunteers must register online and undergo the annual background check prior to volunteering in the school. Volunteers can work in any HISD school for the school year once cleared by the background check.
