Poe Beautification Day

We use this day to add and upkeep the outside beauty of our school. The successes that we get to celebrate at the end of our time on March 2nd is heavily reliant on the help and support of our community.

There are multiple ways to help and support this day. Here are some ways you can get involved…

1) Volunteer your time. 

Come to Poe anytime between 9-12pm to plant, weed, or pick up trash. You can come for the entire event or stop by for a quick 30 minutes to lend a hand. Don’t worry, there will be plenty of things to do for the whole family (kids too!).

2) Donate snacks and fruit.

Outdoor work uses lots of energy and our volunteers love when they can grab a snack bar or some fresh fruit. The snack and fruit can either be dropped off at 9am on March 2nd at Poe or you can coordinate with Shannan O’Mara for an earlier drop off time/day.

Calling all outdoor lovers and plant enthusiasts! Each Fall and Spring, families join together to work on improving the school grounds of Poe Elementary. This makes the school safer and more welcoming for our students!

Mark your calendar for our fall Beautification Day from 9:00am-12:00pm! This is a great opportunity for the whole family to enjoy a day outside while helping improve our school grounds. Materials and lite bites will be provided!

Here are some ways to get involved:

1) Volunteer your time.

* If you’d like to volunteer but you need childcare, then stay tuned for the sign up for your kids (must be over 4 years old) to be watched by Little Heroes from 9-12pm. Please read through ALL the rules and guidelines on the SignUp Genius page BEFORE signing up to ensure that you and your kids have the best experience.

2) Donate snacks and fruit.

3) ToolBank tools pick up and drop off.

If you have a truck and are available either early morning and/or at 12pm on the day, then we need your help! We will be using tools from the ToolBank to get a lot of our work done but they need to be picked up and dropped off.

4) Be a Sponsor.

We still have one spot available for sponsorship for Fall Beautification Day. Sponsors help fund this amazing outdoor event and their contributions ensure that our school can keep looking beautiful!
