Gen Tex Week across the state of Texas (Nov 18th-22nd)
We’ll celebrate the week of college and career awareness with themed dress each day:
Mon - Dress for Success Day: Students are encouraged to dress for the career path of their choice.
Tue - Your Future is Bright Day: Students are encouraged to wear bright or neon colors.
Wed - College Spirit Day: Students can wear a college shirt or college colors.
Thu - Go Wild for Education Day: Students are encouraged to wear camouflage or animal print.
Fri - November House Spirit Day! Students should wear their House colors and be ready to compete in another exciting round of games during lunches.

Sign up to become a Poe Library Helper and make a meaningful impact in our Poe community. With daily shifts available, Library Helpers will assist students as they discover new books while helping to maintain our vibrant library space. Your involvement is crucial to help ensure our library remains an active, enriching resource for all students.
We are seeking VIPS-approved volunteers for daily shifts, including:
PreK and Kinder Library Helper: 8:35-9:30am
1st and 2nd Library Helper: 12:30-1:20pm
Library Helper: Anytime from 7:30am-6:00pm

Everyone is automatically a member of the Poe PTO and invited to create/update your account for the new school year. Click on the Login button in the menu to review your privacy choices for the directory and update your grade and teacher information so that you can receive emails from your teacher's room parents, the The Weekly View newsletter from Principal Jon Alaniz, and The Raven newsletter and other emails from the Poe PTO. If you are still not getting the emails, log in at the top of the page and go to the menu My Account >> Subscriptions. Email questions to help@poepto.org.

The Poe Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) helps support our school through volunteering and also helps provide additional funds to continue programs, sponsor events, and purchase items by supplementing the funding from TEA and HISD. As part of the Poe community, EVERYONE - including parents, teachers and administrators - is automatically a member of the Poe PTO, and we welcome you to be part of the effort to provide Poe students with a strong foundation for learning and success.
