Teacher Appreciation Week is here — This is our chance to show the amazing teachers and staff at Poe how much we value all they do for our children.

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 5th-9th. This year we are honoring our star teachers and staff with a Hollywood themed week of gratitude, fun, and creativity. Students and Caregivers can take part in the daily activities listed below.

MONDAY: WALK Of FAME

Help us chalk the sidewalks with kind notes and drawings

TUESDAY: FAN MAIL

Write your teacher a note or poem to show your gratitude

WEDNESDAY: CONCESSION STAND

Bring your teacher their favorite snack or beverage

THURSDAY: CURTAIN CALL

Draw, craft, or bring a flower or plant to your teacher

FRIDAY: RED CARPET

Dress in your teacher's favorite color 

Dear Parents,

We are heartbroken to share that our sweet classmate, Addison, recently lost her mother unexpectedly.

As we come together to support her during this incredibly difficult time, we are collecting donations to send stuffed animals and flowers to Addison and her family. Any amount, big or small, would mean so much We hope these small gestures can bring a bit of comfort and remind them how much love surrounds them.

The funeral will be held on Monday, we kindly ask for donations to be sent to Taylor via Venmo: @Taylor-Suttner

Happy Holidays

Ms. Woodford is planning a holiday party for our kiddos! She is extending the invitation to all parents that are VIPs approved. Please join us Friday, December 20th at 1:15pm for some holiday fun leading into our Winter break. The party will be for about a hour. I have attached a signup genius link with a list of goodies if you would like to purchase items to bring to the party, send with your student or leave at the front office, please add Ms. Woodford’s name on the items if left in the office.  I’ll be sure to check the front office when I arrive on the 20th for items that were dropped off.

I hope this message finds you well! To keep our students energized and ready to learn, we are seeking snack donations for the classroom. Your generous contributions help ensure all students can enjoy a healthy snack during the day. Please click on the sign up genius link that’s attached to sign up for your donation week. If you’re able to contribute, here are some snack ideas:

• Pretzels, crackers, or granola bars

• Fruit snacks or dried fruit

• Popcorn or trail mix (nut-free)

• Any other healthy, classroom-friendly optionsms

Ms. Woodford has asked for disinfectant wipes as well! Please add a box of wipes to your snack donations to help keep our class & germ free.

Dear Parents,

Good Morning  

As we approach Halloween, our class is excited to have fun with a special classroom party on October 31, 2024. To make this day as fun and memorable as possible, we are seeking your support. Planned activities: A spooky story book reading, spooky games, spooky prizes, & spooky cupcakes. 👻

We are kindly asking for donations to help cover the cost of snacks, decorations, and activities for our Spooky Halloween party. If you are able to contribute, any amount, big or small, will be greatly appreciated. Please send to Zelle number 917-407-8308. Myself and a few room parents will make sure the items are purchased, setup and shared with our kiddos.
