This is from me, Merriann, this is been a great start to a new school and new group of friends! Our end of the year class party is on June 3rd at 1:30 pm. To make things fun and easy, we are doing things a little different this time around. For our party we will be doing a mini talent show. Each student will have about 5 mins to share their special talent with the entire class. Please don't feel any pressure. Your student can simply bring something for show and tell also. We are also encouraging everyone to dress that day in as many colors as possible to match our "hello summer" class party. We also need some supplies for the party. Hello everyone!

Just a friendly reminder that Field Day is tomorrow, 5/29! 

Students will wear their field day shirts tomorrow, Which they will change into at school. Please send them in their regular uniforms to school. 

Also, please pack a dry change of clothes (including socks!), as they’ll be getting wet, along with some extra snacks and a water bottle with their name labeled. Please make sure you label the bag with their change of clothes.

PTO will provide lunches, breakfasts, and snacks to celebrate all of the Poe teachers in this year's Hollywood theme. They are also collecting funds for teacher appreciation week to be able to give each teacher a cash gift. Don't forget to log those reading hours! Read A Thon on Saturday the 10th. Ms. Wolt said that an end of Read A Thon celebration would be fine on Friday the 9th. I figure any extras can be class snacks.

Good Morning!

The annual Poe All Art Day is this Friday. Our class will be chalking outside from 9:20 am - 10:10 am. Parents are welcome to attend the chalking time with the students and teachers. 
The PTO has requested that each class has wipes handy for easy clean up after. If you can, please send a pack or 2 of hand wipes and hand sanitizer for the class tomorrow.

As a reminder, Spring Break begins tomorrow. There will be no school from Monday 3/10- Friday 3/14.

Hello everyone! Where does the time go? I hope you are all doing well. 

A few quick updates. There was a water leak before the winter break, and thanks to several parents for reaching out, we have this long weekend scheduled for repairs! The loose titles will be replaced. 

I've reached out to Ms. Wolt to see how she would like for Valentine's day to be handled since school is closed on Friday. We are bringing cards, but no candy. There is no pressure to bring anything, but if you do choose to, please make sure it is nut free and pineapple free.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Don't forget to get your tickets for Poe's 76th Carnival! I mistakenly said 75th previously. It's a lot of fun! Please consider volunteering to help set up/clean up, or at one of the booths. Donations for drinks and stuffed animals are still being accepted at the front. 

Hello everyone! Lot's going on to get ready for the Poe Carnival! I believe this is the 75 year! Donations and Volunteers are needed and much appreciated! Please drop off drinks, juice boxes, water, soda, etc. to the front entrance with Ms. Wolts name on them. Her class could win a pizza party if they get the most donations! Also clean stuffed animals can be donated for the carnival stuffed animal walk! A cake walk, but with stuffies! There are lot's of volunteer opportunities too, the carnival, the library, Poe Patrol, etc. You must be VIPS certified. It's online and quick!
