1) Someone asked about whether we were having an end of year class gift for Ms. Simpson and the answer is yes! It's not too late to donate - I will use the collected funds to buy her a gift card tomorrow (and maybe something else small from the class). As mentioned by Ms. Simpson, the class Kinder Graduation ceremony will be in Ms. Simpson's classroom this Friday, May 30th at 1:30 p.m. and parents are all welcome to attend as long as you are VIPS approved! You will be able to see some pictures from throughout the year, a song performance from the kids, and your child will receive their completion certificate.

Good Morning Mrs. Simpson's Class Families, 

Next week (May 5th - 9th) is Teacher Appreciation Week! The Poe PTO will be providing teachers with various meals and snacks all week, and PTO has also provided the attached .pdf of ideas for other ways students can show appreciation for their teachers each day. Each teacher also receives a gift from the PTO, so we will NOT be doing an individual classroom collection for Mrs. Simpson next week.

We will, however, have a monetary collection for an end-of-year gift later this month, and we'd like to present that to Mrs. Simpson at our classroom's Kindergarten graduation ceremony on Friday, May 30th at 1:30 p.m. Please reach out if you have any other ideas about ways to celebrate Mrs. Simpson!

Good afternoon,

This Saturday morning from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. (April 12th), Ellie Hughes' grandmother will be hosting an Art Party social for all Kindergartners at her house one block from Poe (1818 South Blvd). The kids will get a painting lesson and then get to play - all art supplies provided! Please come join the fun - all proceeds benefit Poe PTO.

This Friday, March 7th will be Poe's annual All Art Day! Ms. Simpson's class will be outside chalking the sidewalk between 11:15 - 11:50 a.m. and parents are welcome to join this portion of the day. No need to RSVP, just show up in front of Poe at 11:15 and you will be able to find her class. 

Also, if anyone has extra baby wipes or hand wipes you could send with your student before Friday (or bring with you) that would be helpful! There are many messy hands to clean after the chalking is over and during the other indoor activities.

Mrs. Simpson's class will be having a small Valentine's party this Thursday afternoon, February 13th. This will be a simple party with some snacks and drinks for the children only (no parents for this party, please). As a reminder, this is a nut-free classroom so all snacks must be nut free and store-bought.
