End of Year Party
Hi!
We have reached the end of fourth grade! Our class party will be on Tuesday June 3rd at 2:00pm. Our class voted and will be celebrating with Raising Canes and make your own boba drinks. We can have three volunteers who are VIPS approved. If you would like to volunteer or send in plates/napkins or a treat, please sign up here. Teacher Appreciation Week
Just a friendly reminder that Teacher Appreciation Week kicks off tomorrow. Please see below for ideas on how we can show Ms. Marin how much we appreciate her all week long!
Monday: Walk of Fame- chalk the sidewalk with kind messages and drawings
Tuesday: Fan mail- write a note of appreciation from child and/or parent
Wednesday: Concession stand- Bring your teacher their favorite drink or snack
Thursday: Curtain Call- draw, craft, or bring a flower or other small gift to your teacher
Friday: Red Carpet- Dress in your teacher's favorite color (Ms. Marin's favorite color is pink/lilac)

Teacher Appreciation Week and Read-A-Thon

Next week is teacher appreciation week! Poe is celebrating our teachers with a Hollywood theme. Please see the attached flyer for ways to show Ms. Marin appreciation throughout the week. Ms. Marin's favorite things list is also attached.

All Art Day Chalk Time
Hi,
All Art Day is this Friday! Fourth grade will be outside doing chalk art from 8:30-9:10am. Parents are invited to join outside to watch our students decorate the sidewalks. I have attached a link to the schedule below. I hope to see you there!

Class Holiday Party
Hi,
Ms. Marin's class will be having a holiday party on Friday December 20th from 2:00-2:50pm. The kids will have snacks and do a quick snowman building activity. We are looking for 3 volunteers to help with the party and additional volunteers to send in supplies. Poe Movie Night This Friday
Poe Movie Night!
Hi everyone! Just a reminder that this Friday, November 15, is movie night at Poe! We will be screening Elf on the basketball court. The event starts at 5:30 with the movie screening around 6pm. It is free to attend. Bring your own snacks or purchase popcorn and pizza on-site. Make sure you bring a blanket to sit on!

Speed Pitch Booth at Carnival! Volunteers Needed

We need some more parent volunteers at the very popular Speed Pitch Booth!!
This is a role for taking tickets, managing the line and writing down top pitch speeds! All materials and instructions will be provided.

Room Parent Introduction
Hi Families in Ms. Marin's Class,
Welcome to our class message board! I am Becca Shin (Everett's mom) and one of our class room parents along with Evi Cornelisse, Megan Ebel and Tyeshia Cobb. We look forward to working with you all to make this a great year!
Room parents will be using Membership Toolkit to assist Ms. Marin in communicating upcoming class events and classroom needs. If you are interested in supporting our classroom please check out
Ms. Marin's Amazon Wish List.
We will be collecting funds throughout the year to gift Ms. Marin for her birthday, holiday season and teacher appreciation. Contributing to the group gift is completely optional and the gift will be presented from the entire class regardless of contribution. We have also included Ms. Marin's "Favorite Things" for you to reference if you would like to gift her individually.
Ms. Marin may request parent volunteers for parties and other activities. We will communicate volunteer opportunities as each event arises. Please register for
VIPS approval if you plan to volunteer throughout the year. VIPS registration must be completed at the start of each school year.
Our class is going to have a small Halloween celebration on the 31st from 2-2:45pm. Volunteers are not needed at this time, but we will let you know if anything changes. Our next school event is our annual carnival. Please refer to the carnival page on membership toolkit for volunteer opportunities and to preorder carnival tickets. Our class is also competing in the annual carnival drink competition. If you would like to contribute, please drop off bottled water, cans of soda or juice boxes to the front lobby labeled with Ms. Marin's name.

4th Grade representative Introduction
Dear room parents , we hope this message finds you well. We are excited to introduce ourselves of 4th Grade representative for the year ( Guixia Payton & Megan Ebel)Our job follow role would be to help with bigger events like coordinating volunteers for Carnival or events and keeping in touch with lead teacher/teachers for any grade level specific needs for projects. We are looking forward to partnering with you to make this school a fantastic one for Poe.
