Hola Familias,

Families,

Thanks to your support, we were able to collect items and assemble fun Boo Bags (goodie bags) that Mr. Hall will pass out to the kids at the end of the day tomorrow.
Please know how much we appreciate your help in making this happen. Happy (almost) Halloween!

Quick reminders: Carnival volunteer spot and class Boo Bags / treat support

Hi families,

Thank you to those of you who have donated Carnival drinks, signed up to volunteer this weekend, or have contributed to the “Boo Bags” goodie bags the kids will get in class on Halloween. A great end to October for our kids!

A few quick reminders:

  1. We have one more shift open (11am - 12:30pm) for the booth our class sponsors, the Haunted House. Please see the  Carnival SignUp  and sign up if you can help.
  2. If you wish to contribute to the class Boo Bags, or give a small donation to help us provide the class a treat, please see two ways to help: purchase an item off the Amazon Wish List of items we hope to include in the Boo Bags (we need all items by Tuesday so we can assemble for the kids) - or you can Venmo (@abbysimmonswalker, last 4 digits of cell are 3682) or Zelle (asimmons29@gmail.com) Abby directly. *Any funds raised over the amount needed will be saved and put towards our next class celebration.

Thank you for your support!

Carnival needs volunteers from our class!

Hi, families!

We need some more parent volunteers at the very popular Haunted House!! Volunteers from our class will not be building the House, rather - this is a role for taking tickets, managing the line and granting entry.

Please see the  Carnival SignUp  and grab a spot if you can help. The morning slot especially needs volunteers!

This is a very popular booth and a huge part of the PTO fundraising efforts. Thank you for considering signing up - or spreading the word with those you think could help.

October Reminders & Requests!
Hi, all!

Below please see some upcoming important October reminders and requests:

1. Halloween Class Celebration: Mr. Hall will distribute Halloween "Boo Bags" (goodie bags) for the class after Fine Arts on the 31st for the kids to celebrate Halloween together over an afternoon treat before the day ends. We will also send in an afternoon snack for the kids to enjoy. There are two ways to contribute if you are able / interested:
  • We created an Amazon Wish List of items we hope to include in the Boo Bags. You may select an item(s) to purchase off this list and it will ship directly to us to include in the bags.
  • If you would like to contribute financially (no amount is too small!), we will use the funds to purchase any items left unclaimed, and to provide an afternoon snack. You can Venmo (@abbysimmonswalker, last 4 digits of cell are 3682) or Zelle (asimmons29@gmail.com) Abby directly. *Any funds raised over the amount needed will be saved and put towards our next class celebration.
2. As we enter the holiday season, attached is Mr. Hall's My Favorite Things. We have also created a Mr. Hall's Class Amazon Wish List, where we will include items throughout the year that Mr. Hall could use in the class.

3. Poe Carnival is October 26! Quick reminders:
  • The Carnival Drink Contest is running now through October 23 - and the class with the most donations wins a pizza party! If you participate, be sure to write "Mr. Hall - 5th grade" on the drinks you donate.
  • Please visit the Poe PTO Carnival website for information about Carnival shirts, tickets/wristbands and volunteering opportunities! The latest update is t-shirt online sales cut off at noon on Monday. Monday is also the deadline for the discounted carnival ticket and wristband bundles. The price goes up after that.
Thank you so much for your support of Mr. Hall, our class and our kids! We will be sharing more information soon about exciting things in store this year for our 5th graders in their last year of Poe, including ways for you to get involved to make this their best year yet!

Thank you!
Abby & Ashley
Reminder: bring a water bottle tomorrow!

Hi all,

Apologies for the late message - just a reminder to please send your child in with their water bottle tomorrow! Pizza and Kona Ice will be provided at the park after the show, but they will want their water bottles with them.

Thank you!

We will share info on Mr. Hall’s Favorite Things shortly - and more info about class needs as we have them.
