Hi everyone,
I hope you're all doing well! As we wrap up this amazing school year, we have a couple of fun updates to share:
🎉 End-of-Year Party – June 2nd, 2:00 PM to Dismissal
We’ll be celebrating with a bubble - popsicle - music class party on Monday, June 2nd from 2:00 PM to the end of the school day. Parents may attend and must be VIPS approved.
*Feel free to bring extra snacks or drinks if you'd like to share!
•We also want to show our appreciation to Ms. Fleming for such a wonderful year with our kids. I'll attach her favorites list if anyone wants to do something on their own for her .

Read-A-Thon ideas on supporting your class

Hi Room Parents,
The Read-A-Thon kicks off next week, and we’d love your help in making it a fun and successful event for your classroom!
Here are a few simple ways you can support:

Remind families to set up their child’s Reading Page via Class Dojo.
You can share this direct link: Set Up Reading Page

Families are already getting several emails about the Read-A-Thon, so a quick reminder on Class Dojo can really help cut through the noise.

Set up your own child’s page if you haven’t already 😊

Help build excitement for the class! Here are some fun ways to do that:

Host a popsicle party if the class reaches a goal (e.g. 100% of Reader Pages activated or a class reading milestone)

Volunteer as a guest reader for a read-aloud

Bring a special snack for Drop Everything and Read Day (date TBD)

Art day (reminder) and supplies request
Hi all,
Meredith, the PTO President, asked me to send out this call to action for classes. If you can please send this out, PTO would be grateful!
Please help supply your class (or ask ppl to bring) 2 packs of hand wipes or baby wipes for kids to clean their hands after chalking. Extra fabric markers or sharpies are always appreciated!
Pto is supplying chalk and fabric markers for each homeroom! Shirts have been delivered!
This tradition is something to see!
I encourage parents to join in the fun during their child's class chalk time.

***POE MOVIE NIGHT !! FRIDAY 11-15 !! 5:30pm
Just a reminder that this Friday, November 15, is movie night at Poe! We will be screening Elf on the basketball court. The event starts at 5:30 with the movie screening around 6pm. It is free to attend. Bring your own snacks or purchase popcorn and pizza on-site. Make sure you bring a blanket to sit on!
We also still need a few volunteers to help with set-up and selling concessions. If you’re able to help, please sign up here:

note : kids may dress up as your favorite book character customs must not be scary or incorporate blood no mask or bring props. Students are encouraged to bring a copy of their favorite book if possible..

Carnival Drink contest , Stuffed Animals , HALLOWEEN PARTY**birthday Parties
Hii !
- our annual Carnival Drink Contest begins this week on Wednesday, October 9th!
The contest runs for 2 weeks (Oct. 9th to 23rd). Parents can drop drinks off in the front hall at student drop-off and pickup (or during school hours). Please make sure you LABEL the boxes with your student's teacher name.
The class with the most drink donations wins a pizza party for the whole class!
Winner will be announced following Carnival. Questions? Email carnival@poepto.org :)

Class Picture date - Correction - October 8 !
Dear Parents,
I wanted to inform you of a correction regarding our class picture day. The correct date for picture day is **Tuesday, October 8th**.
Students DO NOT need to wear the Poe uniform and can wear a choice outfit for their special pictures!
