Hi Parents! This week is Teacher Appreciation Week! Have your kids send teachers a sweet note on Tuesday! There is a calendar of events attached to this email!
Also This Wednesday, May 7th, Poe will be celebrating Drop Everything and Read (D.E.A.R.) Day along with Dress as Your Favorite Book Character Day.

All Art Day - Friday March 7th
Hi Parents! The All Art Day will be Friday March 7th. The PTO is inviting parents to visit during their students' chalk time outside. 1st grade is 9:20am-10:10am.

Holiday Party and Ms Dukes Favorite Things
Happy Holidays! Ms Duke's class will have their Holiday Party in class on December 20th at 1:15pm (set up 1pm). Please see sign up genius link below if you would like to volunteer (Must be VIPS approved), or sign up to bring something! Kids will be in pajamas that day too for last day of school before holiday break.
I have also attached her favorite things list here if you are looking to give her something for the holidays!

Carnival Hair Color Bar- volunteers needed
Happy Sunday!
Ms Duke's class booth at the Poe Carnival next weekend is the Hair Color Bar!
We need parent volunteers for the 11-12:30 and 12:30-2pm time slots.
Volunteers for this booth will manage the line and take tickets. High school volunteers will also be present to help if you want to delegate the actual hair coloring. All instructions will be at the booth Saturday morning.
This is a popular booth and a huge part of our fundraising efforts.

Class Reminders + Halloween Party!
Hello Miss Duke's Class:
If you are going to the store this week, please pickup an extra case or two of kid-friendly drinks for the Carnival Drink Contest. The class with the most donations wins! Don't forget to sign up to volunteer to work at the Carnival on October 26th!
