Hi parents!  

I find it hard to believe it's really the end of the school year already.  Looking ahead into next week, on Friday the kids will celebrate their kinder "graduation".  I am looking for some parents to help me with set up and running the party, and of course you are all welcome to attend as well. 

Please reply here or directly to my cell 713 855 0120 if you'd like to help, either with providing food, setting up (we will decorate and pre-set the classroom during the kids fine arts/lunch period, 9am-10am), or with the party itself (1:30-2:30).

I'm also going to pull together a class gift to present to Ms Henry on the final day of school, Wednesday the 4th!  If you would like to contribute to that please send to venmo @Charlotte-Loreman (preferred) or zelle by June 1st.

This has been such a special year in our kids' lives and I'm so happy to have gotten to know so many of them.  Let's crush these last two weeks!

Hi Parents!

This week is TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK at Poe!  The PTO is providing lunches and snacks in the teacher's lounge throughout the week, but this would be the perfect time to send Ms Henry a little extra love from your kids, be it a card or a coffee or a fist bump at pick up!  I will be sending flowers on Friday, but am not taking a gift collection at this time.  I'll be reaching out in the coming weeks for help with the end of year party and gift.  

It's also the last week of the Read a Thon!  Please continue to log your reading minutes.  The kids would love to win the pizza party!

Hi parents, 

Hard to believe the end of the year is already here!  I hope everyone is enjoying the fun themed dress days.  Can't wait to see the kids in their PJs on the last day of school!  With that in mind, I'm looking for a few volunteers to help organize the class holiday party next Friday, 12/20 in the afternoon.

I also wanted to share Ms Henry's Favorite Things list as we think about honoring and celebrating her hard work teaching our little ones this year.  I will be putting together a class gift -- if you would like to contribute please send Venmo (preferred) @charlotte-loreman or Zelle 713-855-0120.  No pressure, give what feels good!

Hi again parents!  Sending this out one more time -- we need volunteers to help out at the Carnival this Saturday. Our classroom is responsible for staffing the Dessert Gallery -- understandably a very popular booth.  Please consider joining me there this weekend!

Hi parents!  

I just wanted to shoot out a quick preview of all the exciting stuff coming up at Poe in the next few weeks!

This Sunday, October 20th 4pm-6pm join the PTO and other kinder families for a picnic at the Poe Playground.  Dessert provided! 

Next week, Friday October 25th is the Kinder Hat Parade. Each student is encouraged to design and decorate a hat of their choosing. This is such a fun way for our kids to express their creativity! They will parade through the school from 7:45am and then meet outside for some photos.  Teachers request hats be completed and brought in the earlier the better -- Ideally Monday, October 21st!

Next week, Saturday October 26th is the CARNIVAL! From 10am-2pm.  Don't forget to drop off kid friendly drink donations so we can win that pizza party! We are also still in need of both sponsors and volunteers to help everything run smoothly!

And finally, Thursday, October 31st, we will be having a Halloween party in the classroom for the last hour of the school day.  I am going to hold off on the planning for this until after the Carnival but if you know you'd like to help please reach out, either in response to this thread or directly to me, charlotte.loreman@gmail.com We will plan some sort of small craft or activity, some food (to replace afternoon snack) and some of take-home goodies.
